They Don’t Give A Damn
They Don’t Give A Damn – The Story of the Failed Chicago Projects (2016) gives a visceral look into the lives of public housing residents in the City of Chicago. The residents were without voice, direction, and some survived without hope. This film should make urban planners and housing authority officials lean toward a more humane way to redirect, implement, and disburse thousands of individuals into decent and affordable housing…especially when Planning to demolish thousands of units of squalor. This type of public housing displacement is not exclusive to Chicago.
